Music Education Turnkey Technology Packages

Music classes that incorporate technology should be about music, not about technology. And music teachers who would like to incorporate technology into their classrooms should not have to become experts in the field simply to know what to buy.

The technology of contemporary music production can provide a classroom with fantastic tools that engage students and accelerate learning. But the tools should never become the goals, and precious class time should be dedicated to learning and creating music, not figuring out how to use a piece of software. Technology should enrich the learning process, not monopolize it.

Therefore, RIME is assembling music education turnkey technology packages that are easy to use, serve the curriculum, and work! RIME is evaluating technology, and creating solutions optimized for composing, performing, and recording. RIME is also exploring ways to offer the packages at educational discounts in tandem with technology partners.

RIME will produce manuals that go beyond those included by the manufacturers. RIME’s manuals will be geared for teachers who wish to use these remarkable tools for classroom projects that meet or exceed national standards. RIME’s manuals will not only explain how to use the technology, but also how to use it in the service of the curriculum.

RIME’s music education turnkey technology packages will complement RIME’s other programs, assisting composition and performance in the Concert Curriculum, and composition and recording in the Disc Curriculum.
